What is a UTMB Index race?

Completing a UTMB Index race allows you to obtain or improve your UTMB Index in the relevant category (20K, 50K, 100K or 100M). Your UTMB Index offers certain benefits across UTMB World Series events:

For the Restonica Trail by UTMB: Your UTMB Index determines your start group. Without an Index, you’ll begin in the final wave.

For all UTMB World Series events: UTMB Index holders can access an exclusive pre-registration period with preferential rates for early entries. In the case of races that use a lottery system due to high demand, only runners with a valid UTMB Index will be eligible to enter the draw.
